Job summary

Crane Aerospace and Electronics in Burbank, CA is seeking an Operations Manager to plan and direct value streams, driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements. You will lead cross-functional teams and implement the Crane Business System to achieve customer commitments.

The role requires 7+ years in manufacturing with lean focus, plus 3+ years managing value streams; a BA/BS in engineering is required, Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing focused on continuous process improvement and lean manufacturing.
• 3+ years of experience managing a value stream or multiple value streams.
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of continuous improvement systems and tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff to meet internal and external customer demands.
• Direct manufacturing to achieve highest quality at lowest cost.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to exceed customer requirements.
• Lead the Crane Business System kaizen roadmap and events.
• Develop and hire a skilled, motivated team and sustain a safe workplace.
• Inspire subordinates to achieve excellence and provide development opportunities.
