Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking an Operations Manager at our Burbank, CA location. The role plans and directs all aspects of assigned Value Streams to optimize safety, quality, delivery and cost, working with functional leaders to continually improve value streams for customers.

The position requires 7+ years in manufacturing with lean/process-improvement focus and 3+ years managing value streams; BA/BS in Engineering (Master's preferred).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing role focused on continuous process improvement and lean manufacturing.
• 3+ years of experience managing a value stream or multiple value streams.
• BA or BS in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff to meet internal and external customer demands.
• Direct manufacturing of high quality products at the lowest possible cost.
• Lead cross-functional teamwork to exceed customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement via the Crane Business System and kaizen events.
• Develop, hire and coach a skilled customer-focused team.
• Maintain a safe workplace and robust standard work practices.
• Create action plans based on data to improve performance.
