Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Asheville, NC seeks a Non-Destructive Testing Inspector to ensure airworthiness of aircraft components using FPI, X-Ray, Ultrasonic, Etch, and CT. You will read drawings, document findings, and train NDT trainees while maintaining equipment and supporting operations.

Role requires standing for long periods and working a weekend night shift (Friday–Sunday, 6:00 pm–6:30 am). Onsite role with comprehensive benefits and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1+ year of experience in at least one NDT method or certification/degree in an NDT method.
• Prefers 2+ years of experience in at least one NDT method.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data; familiarity with gauges, GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT methods (FPI, X-Ray, Ultrasonic, Etch, CT) per qualifications and training.
• Inspect and document findings; ensure airworthiness of aircraft components.
• Maintain NDT equipment and support operations; supervise training of NDT trainees.
• Follow safety and quality procedures; read engineering data and support cross-functional teams.
