Job summary

Pratt & Whitney at the Bridgeport, WV engine center is seeking an NDT Inspector to perform non-destructive testing on engine parts using dye penetrant and radiography techniques. The role operates on a 5th shift (Friday–Sunday, 5pm–5am); training may occur on a different shift for up to 6 months.

The position requires accuracy, compliance with EH&S, and adherence to FAA regulations. Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years in NDT inspection or aviation aftermarket

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Level 2 NDT certification with training hours must be documented.
• 8–16 hours of formal training in MPI, FPI or related methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform Non-Destructive Inspection duties for overhaul and repair of gas turbine engines.
• Use Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic Particle and X-Ray methods to inspect components.
• Set up equipment, conduct tests, and document results per procedures.
• Direct work of trainees and Level I personnel as needed.
• Plan and schedule incoming engines to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S regulations and RTX Code of Ethics.

Education
