Job summary

RTX is hiring for an NDT Inspector at our Columbus, GA facility. The role focuses on ultrasonic inspection techniques, qualification to Pratt & Whitney standards, and on‑the‑job training with OJT hours. The candidate will work on a weekend night shift with shift premium and contribute to quality control in aerospace components.

The position requires NDT training and certification progress toward Level 2, with overtime as needed and a strong emphasis on precise data analysis and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Background in Quality Inspection, NDT Methods, or STEM fields in aerospace manufacturing.
• Passed an NDT Class with a certificate.
• Must obtain NDT Level 2 Certification within designated timeframe as required by Pratt & Whitney.
• Willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Implement training in Quality processes and NDT inspection techniques.
• Utilize Matec and IRT Ultrasonic systems.
• Complete OJT and certification per Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications.
• Perform Ultrasonic Inspections using IRT or Matec Systems.
• Read detailed Engineering Blue Prints and use precision measurement devices.
• Sign‑off product inspected and analyze data from inspections.
