Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL is seeking an Overhaul & Repair Mechanic A for 1st shift, onsite. You will perform disassembly, inspection, repair of sub-assemblies and final assemblies, follow inspection procedures, and work with supervision as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma/GED, experience with blueprints/schematics, and aerospace environment familiarity. A&P license preferred; 2–4 years in overhaul and repair is ideal. Onsite role with FAA safety requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience reading blueprints or schematics
• Experience in an aerospace environment

Responsibilities

• Disassembly, reassembly, inspection and repair of sub-assemblies and final assemblies
• Perform machine operations and brazing/soldering as required
• Use inspection equipment and document records accurately
• Follow procedures and collaborate with supervision/engineering on new programs
