Job summary

RTX in Rockford, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our FAA repair station with ram air turbines, electric power generation, and actuation systems.

You will provide technical analyses, develop repair solutions, review data and drawings, and ensure compliance with regulatory and OEM requirements. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or repair.
• Experience in investigation of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is preferred.
• Lean, RCCA and Six Sigma methodologies are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to MRO product lines and develop repair solutions.
• Review repair data, drawings, and history for complete systems.
• Create written repair/ modification instructions for teams and authorities.
• Analyze test reject data to improve test yield and performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and OEM requirements; update procedures.
• Communicate technical information clearly and respond to inquiries.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements.
