Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to develop manufacturing methods for space and sea hardware, including heat exchangers and pumps. You will produce assembly documentation, support tooling design, and work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure quality and producibility.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement mechanical manufacturing methods for hardware.
  • Author manufacturing assembly documentation and tooling concepts.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and suppliers.
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
  • Document manufacturing sequences and optimize processes for efficiency.
  • Ensure EH&S and quality standards are met.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve productivity.
  • Review producibility with design drawings and suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate in IPD teams and present updates to leadership.
