Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to design, document, implement, integrate, and test mechanical hardware for aerospace systems across the lifecycle, from proposal through production.

You will use CREO, perform GD&T, and conduct thermal and structural analyses; you will review drawings, manage to cost and schedule, collaborate with Program Management, Systems Engineering, and Manufacturing, and help drive hardware PDRs and gate reviews within RTX processes.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing hardware from concept to production.
• Proficiency with CREO/ProEngineer or similar CAD tool.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and drawings reading.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, implement, integrate, and test mechanical hardware.
• Perform thermal and structural analysis using calculations and tools.
• Review and release drawings; participate in peer reviews and program meetings.
• Support testing, subcontractors, and factory; ensure cost and schedule alignment.
