Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is hiring a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to help produce sophisticated assemblies for Space and Sea applications, including heat exchangers, pumps, fans, and pressurized accumulators. You will drive manufacturing innovation, ensure producibility, and apply advanced engineering solutions for life support and thermal control systems.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with machining processes and CAD tools is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, MRPs and quality standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical manufacturing methods for hardware aligned with production goals.
  • Create manufacturing assembly documentation and tooling concepts for Life Support and Thermal Control hardware.
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and suppliers to ensure compliance with specs.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming hardware.
  • Document sequences for complex manufacturing operations and optimize for efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure EH&S compliance and implement cost-reducing process improvements.
