Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a full-time Mechanical Engineer to provide hands‑on technical leadership for the development, integration, test, and production of complex mechanical hardware. You will collaborate with mechanical design engineers, systems engineers, manufacturing, test, suppliers, and program leadership to ensure on-time delivery meeting technical, quality, and performance requirements.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Design mechanical components and systems for extreme hypersonic flight conditions.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve non-conformances and prepare hardware deliveries.
• Support integration and delivery of mechanical parts and aeroshell hardware.
• Lead or support investigations of hardware failures and discrepancies.
• Coordinate with designers, systems engineers, manufacturing, test, quality, and management.
• Create Technical Data Packages with 3D drawings, specs, and materials lists.
• Prepare engineering drawings and change notices to support hardware changes.
• Write technical documents such as SDRLs.
• Support continuous improvement of development and delivery processes.
