Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Hardware Engineering team to design, develop, and document components and assemblies for defense systems. The role supports production lines, collaborates across disciplines, and contributes to design reviews and trade studies.

The position requires a STEM degree with 2+ years of experience or an advanced degree, and familiarity with CAD tools like Creo and Windchill. US-based, on-site role with security clearance prerequisites.

Qualifications

• STEM degree required with 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.
• Experience applying mechanical engineering principles to design, development, or production of hardware.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and sub-assemblies per system requirements.
• Support production lines and global supply base to investigate and resolve technical challenges and obsolescence.
• Interface with engineering, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions.
• Participate in design peer reviews, resolve actions, and conduct trade studies.
