Job summary

RTX’s Mission Systems division in the US seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to join a multi-disciplinary IPT focused on hardware design, analysis, integration, and production support for DoD and government programs.

You will design mechanical components, support production, and collaborate with systems, hardware and software engineers to advance next‑generation antennas and assemblies, while maintaining security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience with mechanical design, product development, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CAD design tools and associated product data management tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design, development, analysis and documentation of components and assemblies per system requirements.
• Provide production and supplier support during product integration.
• Interface with cross‑functional teams to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
• Support reviews and trade studies to enable sound technical decisions.
• Apply engineering knowledge in problem solving and hardware development in a fast-paced team environment.
