Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a CAD Engineer to support the Lunar Permanence program. You will prepare design layouts, release data sets, and review drawings for aerospace components and spacecraft structures.

You will work in a cross-functional team to select materials, manufacturing processes, and ensure design-to-production manufacturability, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD & Design (or similar).
• 4+ years in aerospace or related field.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill data release.
• Familiar with GD&T ASME Y14.5 and tolerance stacks.
• Experience managing large CAD assemblies, BOMs, ICMs, skeletons.
• Experience in spacecraft primary/secondary structure design.

Responsibilities

• Preparing design layouts and release data sets using CAD/PLM tools.
• Reviewing drawings for alignment with specs and standards.
• Supporting mechanical layout and detail design in cross-functional teams.
• Applying standard engineering methodologies to balance cost, schedule, and performance.
• Developing data depicting engineering designs (detail, assembly, installation).
