Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to contribute across development, testing, and production stages for ejection seat systems. You will propose technology, perform design reviews, and interact directly with customers while collaborating with systems and program teams.

The role emphasizes CAD work, design integrity, and collaboration with test, product, and program management groups in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Experience with CAD software such as NX, SolidWorks, Catia, Creo, Fusion 360, or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co‑op session.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering deliverables through all phases of development, bid and proposals, and support through qualification testing.
• Propose new technology and create innovative design solutions; execute design reviews.
• Work with customers and support testing of ejection seat products.
