Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to contribute across the full design lifecycle for aircraft seating systems and other components.

You will use SolidWorks, NX/UG, and Catia to create models and drawings, collaborate with test, product, and systems engineering, and support bid/proposal activities while maintaining schedule and technical scope integrity. This internship emphasizes hands-on learning and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/NX/UG/Catia) through coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design phases from concept to production implementation.
• Develop and qualify aircraft ejection seats with scope, budget and schedule awareness.
• Create drawings/models and support drafting.
• Collaborate with test, product, system engineering and program management.
• Prepare technical writing and customer-facing presentations.
