Job summary

RTX, in Colorado Springs, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern to deliver engineering outputs through development and production phases. You will propose new technologies, review designs with customers, and support testing of ejection seat products, partnering with systems and test engineers.

Use UG/NX CAD and contribute to bid/proposals, with responsibilities across design and production readiness. This role is onsite in Colorado Springs with potential for cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and enrolled through the internship/session.
• Minimum 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering deliverables through all phases of development, bid and proposals, support through qualification testing and initial production implementation.
• Propose new technology and create innovative design solutions; execute design reviews with customers.
• Utilize UG/NX CAD software and facilitate drafting to produce standard, quality models/drawings.
• Collaborate with test engineering, product engineering, system engineering, and program management.
