Job summary

RTX Corporation is seeking a qualified engineer for an onsite role focused on CAD design and drafting for aerospace components. The position involves reading technical documents, creating parts and assemblies in 3D CAD software, and managing Bills of Materials in cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and hands-on CAD experience with Creo, SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, AutoCAD, or Autodesk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering obtained by start date.
• Experience with CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, NX, Catia, AutoCAD, Autodesk or equivalent.
• Prior internship or work experience in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Design, revise, and draft parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software.
• Configure and maintain Bills of Materials, long lead parts lists.
• Lead technical conversations with internal and external customers.
• Lead and participate in design reviews.
• Represent engineering in cross-functional project teams.
