Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Co-op for a full-time, onsite program running May/June through December. You will work with Electric Power Systems on generators and motors, supporting cradle-to-grave efforts, customer discussions, design exposure, and testing activities.

You will gain hands-on experience, interact with customers, and contribute to reports, test plans, and documentation. Travel may be possible; relocation eligibility is provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with MATLAB or Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as Creo, SolidWorks, and/or NX

Responsabilités

• Support the Electric Power Generator and Motor product lines in a variety of different ways.
• Interact with customers and provide support to them and their products in the field.
• Gain experience with the professional workplace support, interaction, responsibility etc.
• Travel opportunities may occur depending on what role you are supporting.
• Support team activities (writing CRs, supporting test, supporting assembly, writing reports and other documents).
