Job summary

RTX, in Rockford, IL, is seeking an embedded controls co-op in the Electric Power Embedded Controls group. The co-op will work onsite, collaborating with cross-functional engineers to apply core electronics knowledge and support hardware lifecycle activities.

Responsibilities include documenting specifications, assisting with testing and deployment, and providing administrative support to engineers. This role offers exposure to aerospace-grade hardware and potential future hiring opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with electronics and electrical components.
• Experience working in a lab and use of electronic test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Apply fundamental knowledge to embedded controls tasks identified by a hardware lead engineer.
• Engage in controls engineering practices across the hardware lifecycle (requirements, design, testing, etc.).
• Prepare and publish project documents for hardware specification, design, testing and deployment.
• Assist engineers with project administration and technical analysis tasks to support priorities.
