Job summary

RTX’s Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL is seeking a Mechanical Engineering student for a full-time co-op from May/June through December, including a Fall semester off. You will work with Electric Power Systems designing, testing, and supporting generators and motors while engaging in customer discussions and product development.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with MATLAB or Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as Creo, SolidWorks, and/or NX

Responsibilities

• Support the Electric Power Generator and Motor product lines in a variety of different ways.
• Interact with customers and provide support to them and their products in the field.
• Gain experience with the professional workplace support, interaction, responsibility etc.
• Travel opportunities may occur depending on what role you are supporting.
• Support team activities (writing CRs, supporting test, supporting assembly, writing reports and other documents).
