Job summary

RTX is seeking an embedded controls engineer co-op student in our Electric Power Embedded Controls department, based onsite in Rockford, IL. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineers and support hardware lifecycle activities under a lead engineer.

You will learn hardware requirements capture, test procedure development, and hardware qualification verification while gaining hands-on experience in a defense/aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience with electronics and electrical components.
• Experience working in a lab and using electronic test equipment.
• Experience with Excel and circuit simulation software.

Responsibilities

• Apply fundamental knowledge to embedded controls tasks identified by a hardware lead engineer.
• Engage in controls engineering practices across hardware lifecycle: requirements, design, test, deployment.
• Prepare and publish project documents for hardware specification, design, testing, and deployment.
