Collins Aerospace invites motivated STEM students to join as interns/co-ops onsite in Cedar Rapids to work on aerospace systems engineering tasks. You will help capture requirements from OEMs, decompose them across domains, and support test procedures and certification artifacts with guidance from experienced engineers.

You will gain exposure to DOORS, JIRA, JAMA, and data bus tools while applying Python and C++ in a practical setting, with AGILE planning practices and active collaboration with

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM and enrolled through internship/co-op.
• Educational background covering requirements capture, integration, verification & validation testing.
• Basic experience in an aerospace engineering development environment.

Responsibilities

• Support requirements capture from aircraft OEMs.
• Decompose and allocate requirements to domains within Collins Aerospace.
• Assist in creating test procedures to verify and validate requirements.
• Assist in creating and completing certification artifacts.
• Support questions and investigate issues related to software/hardware delivered to OEMs.
• Investigate root causes of issues found during flight test and in-service operations.
