Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer 1 for onsite work in Rockford, IL. This role may be eligible for relocation.

You will troubleshoot hardware, review schematics, support design updates, and contribute to cost-reduction and product improvements. You will learn to apply electrical engineering fundamentals to aerospace hardware and gain hands-on experience with Cadence and test equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is required.
• U.S. Person designation as defined for eligibility.
• Basic knowledge of electrical components and circuit principles.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical hardware issues related to field returns and production yield.
• Analyze alternate parts and write memos to support obsolescence and shortages.
• Review electrical schematics, manuals, and datasheets to support investigations.
• Assist in schematic updates and design reviews per department standards.
• Perform basic design analyses in line with customer specs.
• Support Test Equipment team and debug production test equipment as needed.
