Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aircraft engines and power systems, seeks a Materials Manager for direct oversight of material flow on the North Berwick site in Maine. You will lead shop floor personnel, prioritize materials with cell leaders, and ensure accurate engine build commitments while coordinating vendor support.

The role emphasizes lean processes, continuous improvement, and accurate inventory across warehouses.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong facilitation and coaching skills to develop shop floor leaders.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and CORE concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct shop floor personnel in execution of the unit plan.
• Provide direction to Cell Leaders on material prioritization.
• Create engine build and spares commitments and keep data accurate.
• Coordinate with materials for vendor assist scheduling and prioritization.
• Lead accruals, WIP, and aging management.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement to raise quality and throughput.
• Guide lean logistics transformation and material distribution to manufacturing cells.
• Ensure inventory accuracy across warehouses.
• Communicate policy and goals; conduct performance reviews and toolbox talks.
