Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an Engineering Co‑Op– Manufacturing Operations to join our Melbourne, Florida team. You will work with experienced Manufacturing and Test Engineers to support production of Collins Aerospace products and gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, production testing, test equipment reliability, data analysis, troubleshooting, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering and enrolled through internship.
• Experience with basic statistics and SPC.
• Experience with data analysis, automation, or engineering software such as Python, MATLAB, Excel, LabVIEW.

Responsibilities

• Develop and automate data-collection tools, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve test processes and outcomes.
• Analyze and enhance test equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency while reducing downtime and costs.
• Support capacity planning, ROI analysis, and evaluate test approaches to optimize staffing, production, and capital investments.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, training, and resolving production issues, including Manufacturing Flow Inhibitors (MFIs).
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to address component obsolescence, maintain test documentation, and manage configuration and change processes.
