Job summary

RTX is offering a co-op/internship opportunity in the Columbus, GA area for students pursuing Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering. You will assist with engineering project management, standard work creation, and project qualifications, while gaining hands-on experience with CAD tools and statistical analysis software.

The role emphasizes developing actionable corrective actions from process data and collaborating on tooling updates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Industrial Engineering and enrolled through the co-op.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• CAD modeling experience (AutoCAD, NX).
• Minitab or other statistical analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Help project manage engineering tasks to ensure schedule commitments are met.
• Help create or update Standard Work for new part introduction projects.
• Help in supporting on-going project qualifications.
• Updating or creating tooling prints/models to support ongoing projects.
• Provide analysis and develop recommendations for corrective actions due to process failures.
