Job summary

RTX in Bellevue, IA is offering a full-time co-op internship from June to December, onsite on the manufacturing floor. You will collaborate with operators, inspectors, quality personnel, and test technicians to solve daily issues and tackle longer-term projects using 3D-printed tooling.

You will learn industrial engineering fundamentals, CAD-based tooling design, and layout analysis while developing cross-functional teamwork and time-management skills to drive safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Active enrollment through the duration of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with CAD software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session running June to December.
• Work with production floor personnel to solve day-to-day issues and on longer-term projects.
• Design tooling to aid manufacturing using additive manufacturing (3D printing).
• Analyze layout, flow, testing, troubleshooting, and modification of devices and systems.
• Plan resources, materials, and personnel to maximize equipment utilization.
• Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory control, and production records.
