Job summary

RTX offers internships, co-ops, and full-time positions to learn from and collaborate with top minds in aerospace and defense. This role focuses on industrial engineering on a manufacturing floor, with CAD tooling and additive manufacturing to support production goals.

You will work on layout optimization, resource planning, and cost/productivity studies while developing professional skills and knowledge in a real-world setting.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360 or equivalent is preferred.
• Relevant experience can be obtained through coursework, research, projects, or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session that will run from January to August.
• Work with manufacturing floor employees to solve day-to-day issues and tackle longer-term projects.
• Design tooling to aid the manufacturing process using additive manufacturing (3D printing).
• Analyze optimal layout, flow, building, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of electronic or electro‑mechanical devices and subsystems.
• Assist in planning allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to maximize equipment utilization.
• Conduct studies focused on cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production records.
