Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems in Wichita, KS seeks an engineer to guide program manufacturing and tooling, driving advanced manufacturing technologies. You will work with engineering, manufacturing and supply teams to optimize processes and ensure design maturity.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in engineering (ABET-accredited), 2+ years of experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. Strong communication and CI skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling plan.
• Identifies and implements advanced manufacturing technologies and improves manufacturing processes for the type design.
• Applies process engineering principles to establish requirements for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurations.
• Performs trade and cost studies and helps lead integrated product and process teams.
• Apply knowledge in composites, electrical/electronics, machining, sheet metal, systems and structures as needed.
