Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to drive manufacturing and tooling plans within Spirit Defense. You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing and supply teams to apply process engineering principles, develop tooling simulations, and lead cost studies for product and process integration.

The role requires an ABET-accredited engineering degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, and supply teams to develop and guide the program manufacturing and tooling plan.
• Identifies and implements advanced manufacturing technologies to improve processes.
• Applies process engineering principles for assembly, tooling simulations, and manufacturing configurations.
• Performs trade and cost studies and leads integrated product and process teams.
• Applies knowledge in composites, electrical/electronics, machining, sheet metal, systems and structures.
