Job summary

GE Aerospace is hiring a Senior Technician to support engineering and manufacturing teams in assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining aerospace components and systems. This role requires high hands-on expertise, attention to detail, and independent or team-based work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include developing test procedures, interpreting engineering drawings, leading diagnostics, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet program deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in aviation/aerospace/test hardware
• Mentor or lead 2+ years
• 5+ years in mechanical or electrical assembly/test
• Experience with large aerospace components
• Experience with qualification testing preferred
• High voltage safety knowledge required
• Basic 3D CAD familiarity (NX preferred)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong problem-solving and corrective-action capabilities

Responsibilities

• Create and interpret test procedures, plans, and schedules.
• Read engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
• Lead diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair from component to system level.
• Perform assembly and checkout of ground support equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop work instructions and SOPs.
• Travel to testing sites and deliver program updates to teams.
