Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Support Technician to perform general maintenance, preventive care, and support centralized shop systems to keep facility equipment operating efficiently.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, safety adherence, and the ability to work physically in a dynamic environment. Weekend work during shutdowns is appreciated, with opportunities to grow in a large aerospace facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions; experience in mechanical service and basic repair tasks; understanding of facility and equipment technology.
• Must be able to perform non-routine physical tasks safely, including lifting, elevated work, and manual labor.
• Fork truck certification, aerial lift, and LOTO certifications.
• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance or similar experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
• Weekend work during shutdown events.
• Age 18+.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks on equipment.
• Complete work orders for basic equipment repairs using the Maintenance Work Order system.
• Assist Machine Repairmen with projects and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to GE EHS and Security requirements.
• Perform shop clean-up and other maintenance support duties as directed by the maintenance leader.
