Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Maintenance Support Technician in Muskegon, MI to perform general maintenance, preventive work, and support centralized shop systems. The role requires mechanical aptitude, safety adherence, and the ability to perform physical tasks in a dynamic facility environment.

Key duties include operating and repairing equipment, completing work orders, and assisting repair teams while following GE EHS standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in mechanical service or basic repair tasks.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
• Able to perform non-routine physical tasks safely, including lifting.
• Ability to obtain forklift and aerial lift certifications.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks on Coopermatic equipment, evaporator systems, wastewater system filters, and air compressors.
• Complete assigned work orders for basic equipment repairs using the Maintenance Work Order system.
• Assist Machine Repairmen with projects and preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
• Demonstrate understanding and adherence to GE EHS and Security requirements.
• Perform shop clean-up, maintenance, and other support functions as directed by the maintenance leader.
