Job summary

BARNES GROUP in Wisconsin seeks an experienced maintenance mechanic to service and repair facility machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and work with external vendors to resolve issues. You will read blueprints, troubleshoot electrical/hydraulic systems, and support process improvements while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires multiple skills in electronics, plumbing, welding, and fabrication, with on-call rotation and the ability to manage complex tasks under deadline

Qualifications

• Five or more years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, aerospace preferred.
• Strong electrical, hydraulics and blueprint-reading skills.
• Ability to read schematics and basic welding/fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Always follow safety and environmental standards and procedures.
• Repairs and maintains facility machinery and equipment via preventative maintenance.
• Collaborates with outside vendors to initiate repairs as needed.
• Diagnoses issues in hydraulic and electrical systems and repairs to specifications.
• Reads blueprints and schematics; suggests process improvements.
• Prioritizes daily tasks to keep the facility running and on schedule.
• Performs on-call rotation and cleans up after each job.
