Job summary

RTX's Pratt & Whitney division is seeking a Weekend Shift Certified Operator to join our onsite manufacturing team in North Berwick, ME. You will learn to set up and operate NC milling and grinding machines and work from operation sheets to produce weldments and assemblies.

The role includes a three-week training program followed by 4-8 weeks of on-the-job training, with potential for certification as an operator and advancement through our aerospace manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes or VTCs.
• Learn to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Obtain operator Certification to be able to accept/reject parts.
• Learn to maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM).
• Learn to work collaboratively with engineers, quality assurance, programmers and other production personnel to resolve machining problems.
