Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, ME is seeking candidates for a weekend shift operator role to learn NC milling and grinding operations. You will join a 3‑week training program followed by 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training to become certified.

The position is onsite with a compensation range of $17.13 to $30.10 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package and a bonus plan. Prior manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to compute decimals and fractions.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines.
• Operate vertical turret lathes or VTCs for production.
• Read operation sheets and travelers to set up equipment.
• Verify conformance of finished work with precision tools.
• Obtain operator Certification to accept/reject parts.
• Maintain machines with preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers and QA to resolve issues.
