Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX business, is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for the Weekend shift at Wells, ME. You will learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines and perform routine production tasks supporting aerospace manufacturing.

This entry-level role offers on-the-job training, orientation, and a clear path to operator certification, with first-shift training before transitioning to weekend work. Must read, write and understand English.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Operate NC milling/grinding machines and perform routine production operations.
• Set up equipment from operation sheets and travelers for grinding, turning, facing, boring and chamfering.
• Verify finished work conformance using precision measuring instruments.
• Aim to obtain operator Certification to accept/reject parts.
• Maintain machines through total preventive maintenance (TPM).
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, programmers and production personnel to resolve machining problems.
