Job summary

RTX is hiring for a Certified Operator training role in Maine. The position focuses on training individuals with minimal machining background to become certified operators, including a 3-week training period followed by 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training. The role is a 3rd shift, onsite opportunity at the Wells, ME site.

Learn to set up and operate NC milling and grinding machines, verify tolerances, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues while pursuing operator certification.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines and related equipment.
• Train to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision instruments.
• Participate in 3-week training and 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training.
• Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to resolve machining issues.
