Job summary

RTX is hiring for a 3rd shift Operator role in Maine. The position offers on-site work from 11:30PM to 7:00AM, with 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training to achieve operator certification for engine assembly tasks.

You will learn to verify part conformance using precision tools and collaborate across engineering and quality teams. The role emphasizes hands-on skill development, TPM maintenance, and the opportunity to advance within aerospace manufacturing, with a strong focus on safety and quality

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience preferred.
• Ability to perform computations involving decimals and fractions.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs.
• Participate in 4-8 weeks of on-the-job training.
• Acquire operator Certification to accept/reject parts and perform TPM maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, programmers and production staff to resolve assembly issues.
