Job summary

RTX in the United States is seeking an engineer to provide technical support for brake-system testing and lab activities. The role involves executing tests, gathering data, and supporting design changes with lab validation.

You will maintain lab equipment, ensure safety and compliance, and travel up to 10% domestically and internationally as required, contributing to aerospace research and product integrity.

Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Engineering lab experience is necessary to support test plans, data gathering and lab calibration.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to engineering disciplines, such as executing tests on brake system hardware per test plan and providing feedback on test plans.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, and compiles technical data (lab results, test results) and supports engineering design changes with lab testing.
• Produces drawings, test schematics, reports and engineering documentation.
• Makes PO creations for lab or non-product material and handles shipping/receiving for lab activities.
• Maintains Brake Control Systems lab equipment, calibration, configuration control and inventory.
• Coordinates with EH&S to ensure lab compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally as needed.
