Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Engineering lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support to engineering disciplines, such as: Execute tests on brake system hardware per test plan developed by engineering; provide feedback on test plans/execution.
• Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, such as laboratory or material test results.
• Support engineering design changes with lab testing as applicable.
• Produce drawings, test schematics, reports and engineering documentation.
• PO creations for lab or other non-product material.
• Shipping and receiving requests for lab and engineering.
• On-site vs. off-site storage management.
• Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
• Maintains Brake Control Systems lab and equipment, including calibration, maintenance, configuration control, verification testing, and inventory management.
• Coordinates with engineering and EH&S to implement and maintain lab compliance with all company policies including 5S, lock-out-tag out, and all safety standards.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally as needed.
