Job summary

RTX is seeking a Test Engineer to work with Collins Aerospace design engineers in developing and validating cargo system handling equipment, including mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic components. You will design test plans, run experiments, collect data, and prepare reports while collaborating across teams.

Travel up to 10% may be required to support engineering activities. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and analyze

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Test Engineering or related STEM earned by start date.
• Experience with industry-specific technology and cross-functional project work.
• Ability to design and execute test plans and report findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to Design Engineers for test activities.
• Outline, estimate, design, develop and implement test plans and equipment setups.
• Execute test plans, collect data, perform data analysis and conclude findings.
• Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data to support engineering changes.
• Produce drawings, test reports, procedures and engineering documentation.
• Perform research and Test Engineering lab functions for mechanical, electronic or electro-mechanical devices.
• Present technical information to peers, internal management and external customers.
• Ability to reverse engineer existing equipment and document it.
• Travel up to 10%.
