Job summary

RTX's Collins Aerospace offers a full-time co-op internship in Bellevue, IA, focusing on manufacturing engineering. The role runs June through December, with the candidate spending a semester away from coursework to engage fully in this mentorship.

Work with operators, inspectors and technicians to tackle day-to-day issues, design tooling with 3D printing, and study layout, testing, and production improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Active enrollment through the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with CAD software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Immerse yourself in a full-time co-op session June–December.
• Collaborate with manufacturing floor personnel to solve day-to-day issues.
• Design tooling using additive manufacturing to support production.
• Assist in layout analysis, design, testing and modification of devices.
• Help plan resources and materials to maximize equipment utilization.
• Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, inventory, and production records.
