Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA invites motivated students to apply for an aerospace systems internship/co-op on onsite teams. You will learn system configuration, DO-178B artifacts, and collaborate with engineers across disciplines to support FAA audits and certification efforts.

This role requires enrolled STEM students and offers hands-on experience with avionics hardware and network protocols in a structured, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s/advanced degree in systems, aerospace, or STEM and enrolled through internship.
• Minimum 60 credit hours by start date.
• Experience with Python scripting is preferred.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Build system configuration tables from requirements to enable end-to-end communication and runtime environments.
• Configure and build system field-loadable software for civil-certified military aircraft.
• Assist engineers in producing and reviewing engineering documents for FAA audits.
