Job summary

RTX is offering a full-time, onsite co-op opportunity in Bellevue, IA, aimed at students pursuing Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering. You will collaborate with manufacturing floor teams to address day-to-day issues and engage in longer-term projects, gaining practical industry experience.

You will design tooling using 3D printing, study layouts and workflows, and contribute to cost control and productivity initiatives on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work on manufacturing floor with operators, inspectors and technicians to solve day-to-day issues and long-term projects.
• Design tooling to aid manufacturing processes, using additive manufacturing to support production needs.
• Analyze optimal layout, flow, building, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of devices, assemblies and subsystems.
• Plan allocation of resources, materials and personnel to maximize equipment utilization.
• Conduct studies focused on cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production records.
