Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a skilled control systems specialist to design and implement guidance, navigation and control architectures for deep-space missions in an embedded C++ environment.

You'll define ADCS requirements, analyze GNC performance, and collaborate on offline geolocation processing. The role supports hardware- and software-in-the-loop testing, requires a PhD or MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or equivalent) with 2–3 years of experience, or extensive hands-on GNC

Qualifications

• PhD or MS in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or equivalent) plus 2–3 years of experience, or substantial hands-on GNC work.
• Experience with GNC analysis, design, and control of spacecraft.
• Strong C++ and numerical programming skills (Python/Julia/MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GNC architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define ADCS requirements for existing missions and roadmaps.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop tests and validation.
