Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. seeks a highly skilled engineer to design and implement GNC architectures and algorithms in embedded C++. You will define ADCS requirements for missions and contribute to roadmaps unlocking new customer opportunities.

The role involves GNC performance analysis, offline geolocation processing collaboration, and HW/SW-in-the-loop testing. A PhD or Master’s in mechanical/aerospace engineering (or equivalent) with 2–3 years of experience, or extensive hands-on GNC work, is required.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent plus 2–3 years of professional experience, OR several years of hands-on GNC analysis and design.
• Software skills in C++
• Expertise in Python, Julia, MATLAB

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for existing missions and roadmap development
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance
• Collaborate on the development of an offline geolocation processing pipeline
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation
