Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is hiring to design and implement guidance, navigation and control architectures in an embedded C++ environment. This role can be performed remotely from an approved location in the United States.

You will define ADCS requirements, analyze GNC performance, and support offline geolocation processing and test planning. A PhD or Master’s in engineering (or comparable hands-on GNC) plus security clearance is required. Salary ranges from $166,000 to $219,000 with equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent plus at least 2-3 years of professional experience, OR several years of hands-on GNC experience.
• US Government security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms and related systems for existing missions and roadmap development.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on developing an offline geolocation processing pipeline.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
