Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. in California is seeking a motivated GNC Engineering Intern to join our multidisciplinary team for a 12-week, onsite program.

You will contribute to GN&C design and flight systems while gaining practical experience on real aircraft projects. The internship emphasizes hands-on work, collaboration, and professional development, with opportunities to relocate and receive housing support if applicable.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• Completed coursework in GN&C, flight dynamics, control systems, embedded systems, or robotics.
• Interest in aircraft systems and ability to work across engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of GN&C systems for aircraft projects.
• Support system testing, simulations, and basic flight test preparations.
• Help implement and test basic flight control algorithms under supervision.
• Participate in subsystem integration and data analysis activities.
• Assist in engineering documentation and report writing.
